My name is Ruby Fisher and I am a UX designer.

Prior to becoming a UX designer, I taught as a public school teacher for seven years. That experience helped me fine tune my problem solving skills.

Looking at data, identifying the problem, creating a plan, implementing the program, assessing effectiveness, and repeating as needed were all part of my job. Creating effective and engaging assignments/products required attention to detail, harmonious designs, and strong computer skills. Delivery of lessons to students had to be concise but engaging, using both paper and digital resources. Presenting student data to peers, administration, and other stake holders were constant parts of my job. Collaborating on a team to plan, create, assess, adjust, and improve performance was done both in person and remotely.

When the pandemic hit, my teaching job switched online. I successfully completed my job remotely for a year and a half.

After leaving education, I completed Google’s UX Design certificate program on Coursera. I am currently continuing my education by completing beginner and advanced courses to learn the different Adobe Suite programs.

Outside of work I like to travel. Eating yummy food and experiencing new places makes me happy. A nice afternoon on a lake with a paddle board or a long bike ride is super fun.

Hi and welcome!
